Blacksburg sucks. I transferred into VT from the moncler sale online University of Michigan, and Ann Arbor was a fucking awesome college town. Lots to do in town (there was always some event happening in town, lots of small restaurants, concerts, shopping centers, etc.), Detroit was less than a hour away (which is not as bad as many people would think it is), and you still had plenty of nature to see.

Similarly, Charlottesville is the same way. I grew up in SW VA, went to VT, but you couldn get me to move to Blacksburg for twice my salary here in C There nothing beyond the university. At least in C a city, and active industry grew surrounding the university. We have a really nice diverse bar scene for students, professionals, and townies. We have multiple music venues that can draw a room of 50 to the Stadium which hosted huge international acts like U2. By and large, we get better music than even Roanoke which is much larger.

I think this is a more popular sentiment than you many others realize. Lots of people want local beer, and their buying behavior reflects this direct result of this is that some national craft brands will be shaken out of the market.

It going to be murder in that segment for the next few years.
